At 6 weeks the puppies learn to follow we teach the word come at this stage by tapping the ground and calling come with lots of praise and cuddling for their achievement.
Potty training is a little slower in Beagles than in some other breeds. Having a sandy area only for eliminating teaches them this is their place. We use sand as it is a texture they can quickly learn that is differant than play areas.
