On this page we can see from Ben's puppy pictures how slowly the tanning comes into the legs as he develops into adulthood. As a puppy, on the right of this text, you can see the black part of his left front fore leg, it is speckled with some tan. In the picture below it you can see it still has the defined areas of color but how that freckling when Ben was a puppy changes into tan within the first year of their life. Remember this when picking out your puppy, that there will be some color changes in the first year.
